The revolved curve that separates one turning part of a twisty puzzle from another. There are the following types of cut curves:

-Shallow cut curve

-Origin cut curve

-Deeper-than-origin cut curve

-Slice cut curve

-Offset cut curve

-Ball cut curve

-Composite cut curve

The sketch below shows a classic shallow cut curve that can be used for building a shells-mechanism-based 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube.
